Staff feedback

Students enjoyed the engaging sessions which were very interactive and gave them the opportunity to speak a lot!

Positive feedback around Black History Month from all staff and students who participated.

Mental Health awareness workshops were well attended and gave everyone a chance to share personal stories.

I found the employability session very insightful to learn important details about job options and tools to find them, especially as a non-UK resident.

Soft skills are often overlooked as adults so it was interesting to understand what to improve and make myself more employable in the industry.

I had a very positive work experience, largely thanks to Gurmit, who was kind and respectful. She maintained a great balance between work and communication, making sure everyone felt included. She took the time to speak with each person individually, asking about our hobbies and giving us the chance to introduce ourselves. Gurmit was fully engaged, patient, and supportive throughout,

Completing a work experience with Gurmit was highly enjoyable. She was very open to constructive feedback and encouraged us, as computing students, to share our valuable opinions on her social media and company logo. I was particularly pleased that she choose my logo design, which made the experience even more rewarding. Overall, working with Gurmit was both engaging and inspiring."

James Martin aged 30

Gurmit played a pivotal role in building a structure for youth activities.  Myself and many teenage friends on the estates benefitted from the schemes which she raised funds for.  Therefore, keeping us safe and off the streets away from potential risks and dangers.  These activities created a community feeling amongst the residents.  She also set up voluntary job search programme, which helped attendees obtain better interview/functional skills to obtain work/college places.
